The Valley has seven teams throughout the different polls, which ranks classes 6A, 5A, 4A and 3A separately and classes 1A/2A together.
The Warriors, 21-4 according to the poll, defeated then-No. 4 McAllen High in four sets Saturday and debuted in the poll Monday at No. 11. It was the second time Rowe knocked off McHi, and the Warriors are responsible for two of the Bulldogs’ three losses this season.
McHi (26-3) however remained solidly in the poll, coming in at No. 17, one spot behind Sharyland High at 24-7.
Sharyland Pioneer (24-2) was the highest-ranked team among Valley teams in any classification, coming in with a 24-2 record, at No. 7. The Diamondbacks host the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
Mission Veterans (19-6) also remained in the poll for the third week at 19-6 and ranked No. 23.
Harlingen (23-4) was ranked for the second straight week, at No. 14, despite falling to McAllen Rowe last week when the Cardinals were No. 18.
San Isidro landed at No. 10 this week and is 20-4.
