Sharyland High School athlete Tristen Maddox will be signing a National “Letter of Intent” to participate at the collegiate level.
Tristen will be signing to participate in Softball for East Texas Baptist University, an NCAA Division III school located in Marshall, Tx. The Lady Tigers compete in the American Southwest Conference. The team won their 9th ASC Tournament Championship on May 4, 2019 and finished their season with a 39-6 record. Tristen is a 4-year letter winner in Softball and a 3-year letter winner in volleyball. She was the district 31-5A Newcomer of the Year as a 9th grader, the 31-5A MVP as a 10th grader and the 31-5A Defensive Player of the Year as an 11th grader. Academically, Tristen is ranked in the top 30% of her class. Tristen has been a major contributor to the success of both our softball program as well as our volleyball program. She is a great example of what a student athlete is.
