Sharyland Advanced Academic Academy (SA3) student Andrea Gallardo will be signing a National "Letter of Intent" to participate at the collegiate level.

Andrea will be signing to participate in Women's Cross Country for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, an NCAA Division I school located in Edinburg, Tx. The Lady Vaqueros compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The team finished in sixth place at the WAC Conference meet in 2019. Andrea is a 4-year letter winner in Cross Country as well as Track and Field. She is a 4-time Regional qualifier and a 2-time State Qualifier in Cross Country. Academically, Andrea has a 3.01 GPA and is ranked 34th out of 85 students. She will be receiving an Associates Degree upon graduation from the Sharyland Advanced Academic Academy. Andrea has been a major contributor to the success of our Girls Cross Country and Track programs. She is a great example of what a student athlete is.
