Bio -I was born in Mission, Texas and was raised on a Citrus, Vegetable and Cotton Farm. I was raised by the most loving and dedicated Christians Parents. I was the youngest of three children. I worked on the farm during the summer through my Jr. High, High School and College years.

I knew since my high school days that I wanted to teach and coach. Coaches had a tremendous influence on my life throughout my Jr. High and High School years. These coaches instilled in me what it meant to be a part of a team and that each member of the team was vital in order for us to be successful. Their positive leadership and guidance on and off the field of play made such an impact on my life during these years.

After graduating high school I attended Pan American for a short period and then transferred to Baylor University. My last year at Baylor I married my sweetheart Pam and we have one son Clay who is a Firefighter in Hays County. Upon graduation at Baylor I received an offer from Steve Stark to come to Sharyland High School and coach. Sharyland High School had just turned 3A and had a little less than 400 students. I accepted his offer and was a Varsity Football Coach, Head Track and Head Cross-Country Coach. I was a Varsity Football Coach for 15 years and Head Track and Cross-Country Coach for 20 years. I am on my 40th year at Sharyland ISD and 20th year as Athletic Director.

People have asked me why I remained at Sharyland ISD. Through my years of coaching I did have other offers to move but I knew I was already at the best school. I always have felt I was in the place where the Lord wanted me. "Simply Put" Sharyland ISD has been a tremendous "Blessing" to me. Why would I want to go any place else.
