Bio - Hello my name is Emmanuel Torres. I was born in Galveston TX but was raised here in Weslaco. Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley has showed me how to appreciate our region and everything that it has to offer. During Middle school and High school I played soccer, baseball, boxing and basket ball. Me and my brothers were always pushing each other to become the best student athletes we could be.

After High school I left to College Station to work on my undergraduate degree. During my time at A&M, I feel in love with powerlifting and bodybuilding. I was fortunate enough to get a job at the weight room in the REC center. During those three years that I worked there, I learned how to nourish my body and how to properly train to become a better athlete.

After college I did come back home to work at our family business and to further my education. I did complete my MBA here at UTRGV in 2017. Shortly after graduating from grad school, I decided to give back to my community by becoming teacher and a coach. Now as a young adult, I dedicate my time to teaching, coaching and competitive bodybuilding. Sports has always been an integral part of my life and hopefully I can continue to share my love and passion for sports to all my student athletes.
